Our Story:

16 years ago, owner Kenny and wife Rebecca joined their families together after falling in love, becoming a huge family of eight! What seemed like an impossible situation at first quickly turned a corner when on Christmas morning 2008, flopping down the stairs came a black Labrador puppy with a big blue bow, our boy Jake. You might recognize Jakes face, as he is the inspiration behind our Paws and Claws logo. Jake was the first thing in our family that was ours all together, he was the glue that bonded all of us and made our new family whole. Our boy was so special to us and truly impacted our lives indefinitely, sparking a passion for animals in all of us.

For Kenny, growing up he always wanted to be a veterinarian but ended up getting into the sales industry where he worked selling cars and then RV's for 20+ years. While he was an amazing salesman with so much talent in his career, he knew he needed a change. Having two daughters in the Veterinary industry, one of them being Co-owner Emery Luchette; the idea of animal transportation was brought to his attention and re-ignited his spark of wanting to work with animals. He took a leap of faith, leaving his job in sales and going all in on what is now Paws and Claws Animal Transport.

Just like her dad, our co-owner Emery has also always had a passion for working with animals. She started as a veterinary receptionist seven years ago where she quickly made great impressions on the Doctors she worked for and in no time became a licensed VA, working hands on in the treatment area. She now not only runs Paws and Claws with her dad Kenny, but also works in an animal emergency hospital where she works relentlessly to care for all animals that walk through the door. Her passion runs deep and she treats every single pet as if it is her own. She herself has 4 fur babies who are her heart and soul, she pours endless love and care into all animals in need. She introduced the idea of Paws and Claws to Kenny and the two of them together have worked around the clock for months to turn this dream into a reality.

Our goal behind Paws and Claws Animal Transport is to provide support to our community when unexpected situations happen and they are in need of assistance. We will be there for you and your pet no matter what the situation at hand is. Whether it be an emergency, after life care, or even just getting your pet to their regular vet check ups- we will be there for you. Thank you in advance for trusting us and taking this leap of faith with us, we appreciate all of your support.

In dedication of our journey with Paws and Claws we would like to mention our beloved pets Jake, Lucy, Benny and Zory. The fur babies who have brought immense happiness to our lives and are the heart and soul of this business. Although they have all crossed the rainbow bridge now, we honor them by caring for every single animal that comes to us just as we cared for them.

"On that rainbow bridge we will meet to love and play once again"
